As you may have noticed, we love Eisteddfods in Wales. We have one for children, an international one and then we have the big one coming up in August.
Would you believe that we also have one for animals? Okay, so it’s not officially called an Eisteddfod (it’s actually called the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show) but the principle is the same – hundreds of animals from all over the country descending on the town of Builth Wells to take part in a range of competitions including sheep dog trials and the prestigious World Sheep Shearing championships.
As well as the main animal competitions there’s a whole range of exhibitors, stalls and crafts to be explored. The show is on this week.
